Whats all this "WHAT 3 WORDS" App all about

Having said in a previous post about the most useful fre app, well, here is another!  ...and why it would have helped if it had been installed.....   The other day, I was called by one of my relatives who was stuck in the middle of nowhere having realised he had left his wallet at home   The problem was that it was out in the middle of the countryside which had no address. Laptop Takedown

Image
A great session today with 19 people attending, Andy shows how to dismantle an old laptop, examining the components while Steve explained some of the functions. This included how to dispose of old equipment according to the WEEE waste regulations and how to repurpose the M2 memory which was used as the ibternal SSD..     Other issues covered were, default apps, Bitwardwn Password Manager, Windows  Snipping Tool (copies any section of screen and creates a JPEG file) and personalisation of windows cursor.    I would like to say that the Snipping Tool which is included on every Win PC is not well known and is probably the most useful free feature I have used in a long time.
